Danish lighting, born from Nordic light itself

Founded in Copenhagen in 2017 by lighting designer Sofie Refer alongside Nadia Lassen and Peter Østerberg, Nuura builds its collections around a simple conviction: light shapes how we feel. Each range starts from a chandelier and expands outward into pendants, table and floor lamps, and wall fixtures — always unified by mouth-blown glass, sculpted metal, and forms borrowed from Nordic flora and landscape.

The result is lighting that sits between craft and technology: hand-finished glasswork paired with precise LED engineering, built for both private homes and hospitality and contract settings. Nuura has collaborated with designers, including Paolo Rizzatto, and its pieces have been recognized with awards such as the Archiproducts Award and the Best of Design Award.

Nordic Design represents Nuura in the Italian market, bringing this considered, wellbeing-driven approach to Italian homes and hospitality projects.
