Susan Steiner Henriksen
As a Dane the love for design is in her DNA. After CBS with a degree in international business she chose a European career in the IT business as product manager and international sales manager working in Germany and the Netherlands. Always looking for new challenges she moved to Lake Garda and opened an online store with Danish design items in 2004. However, her real passion lies with sales and business development and soon the first requests to represent the brands she was selling arrived. A new business was born! Today Nordic Design is representing 6 of the most prestigious Nordic brands in Italy bridging the cultures of the North with the South and knowing the ins and outs of the dynamics of the interior contract and retail market since 2004.
Susan’s main focus is within the project market, making sure that architects are up-to-date on all the brands and interfacing with international hotel groups and developers as well.
‘Speaking the language and knowing the culture is the key to succeeding in the market’ Susan speaks 5 languages fluently.
Hanna Kaisa Karttunen
Born in Finland Hanna is rooted in the Scandinavian way of living. She graduated from Turku University in languages and moved to Italy right after her graduation.
Hanna has been with Nordic Design from the very beginning. She is well prepared and competent on the brands and she knows what the customers need in order to have success in the retail market.
Hanna is reponsible for the key accounts in Italy both online and off-line. She is Italian married and knows the culture like a native speaker. As well Hanna has a real good network within the PR in the interior world in Italy and helps out stylist whenever they want a Nordic product in their settings.
